The helicopter makes an ideal viewing platform to take in the spectacular scenery of Morobe Province. They can take you just about anywhere in the Morobe Province and PNG.

Islands Nationair - Helicopters

Everyday Islands Helicopters fly over and amongst some of the most unique and pristine places in the world, seeing up close majestic mountains, rockfaces, waterfalls, alpine meadows, lakes, beaches, reefs and islands.

It's widely accepted by pilots and helicopters that flying in PNG is a very unique experience. Not forgetting contact with remote villagers - (to whom tourists are a novelty), who prove to be eager hosts.

If you have limited time, are adventurous and wish to see out of the way places - helicopter travel is the way to go! Places to go and flight times:

Pacific Helicopters Ltd

Pacific Helicopters Ltd is the oldest established helicopter company in PNG, operating in Lae for over 15 years.

With a modern fleet of turbine helicopters and experienced pilots we are able to offer a reliable and comfortable service with your safety as our number one priority.

Just 15 minutes flight south along the coast will take you to the tranquil and historic peninsular village of Salamaua, the staging area of the first "gold rush" in PNG, opening up the Wau/ Bulolo area to the mining circa 1920, now a favourite getaway for Lae residents.

Closer to Lae is Mt. Omsis, rising from sea level to 5000ft over just a few kilometers, a classic example of PNG topography. Pacific Helicopters is also able to customise a tour for your special needs. Airport transfers can also be included upon request with up to six passengers per trip. All flights are subject to bookings and weather.
